It's not a mystery that I love anything nautical inspired, especially anchors. James Avery, a Christian jewelry designer, has come out with a few pieces that are right up my alley.
While I already have a beautiful anchor necklace (a gift from my hubby mentioned in a previous post) the ring is too cute. And I love how the tops of the anchors resemble crosses.
Life isn't a dress rehearsal...and not only am I learning lessons as I go, but I'm determined to soak up the many blessings that have been made available to me, even if that means taking a slightly unconventional path. ...and given my love for the ocean, my interests always seem to come back to any and all things nautical. Well, nautical with a girly twist :)

Inspirational Music: Blink - Revive
This song really spoke to my heart since my terrible car accident last year. Things can change in a blink...
The Lord has numbered my days and last November could have been it. But He had other plans for me. Now, I realize how fragile our lives our, and how each moment counts. One of the versus says:
When it's all said and done
No one remembers how far we have run
The only thing that matters is how we have loved...
What a great reality check.

My Disney Adventure
This past weekend, my family met up at the Happiest Place on Earth, in sunny Southern California. It seems I enjoy visiting Disneyland almost as much now as I did when I was a kid. My three favorite things about this past adventure:
1. Laughing with my family
2. Taking pictures with the characters (especially the Princesses)
3. Tower of Terror (@ California Adventure)

...holiday at sea
"It would seem that Our Lord finds our desires not too strong, but too weak. We are half-hearted creatures, fooling about with drink and sex and ambition when infinite joy is offered us, like an ignorant child who wants to go on making mud pies in a slum because he cannot imagine what is meant by the offer of a holiday at the sea. We are far too easily pleased."

Sailor-wife images
I went on CafePress.com to look around for some cute images and they had a handful of them that were fit for a sailor-wife, such as myself. Take a look...
Inspirational Music: Brandon Heath - Give Me Your Eyes
The chorus of this song says it all:
Give me your eyes for just one second
Give me your eyes so I can see
Everything that I keep missing
Give me your love for humanity
Give me your arms for the broken-hearted
The ones that are far beyond my reach
Give me your heart for the once forgotten
Give me your eyes so I can see
Give me your eyes so I can see
Everything that I keep missing
Give me your love for humanity
Give me your arms for the broken-hearted
The ones that are far beyond my reach
Give me your heart for the once forgotten
Give me your eyes so I can see
